We want to make sure that students who are attending regularly are recognized and celebrated more often throughout the school year. One way we’ve done this at Malaga school has been through acknowledging our students with 100% attendance after each reporting period.
During the first 6 weeks of school 52 students attended school every day and that number increased to 54 students during the second part of the semester. A total of 33 students have earned a perfect attendance award for the first trimester of the school year. These students received a treat and a fun activity as their reward.
Another way we are celebrating our students is by acknowledging those students who have a 95% or better attendance rate each month with a certificate. In September there were 99 students with this accomplishment. In October, that number increased to 115 students. Ensuring all students come to school every day so they have an opportunity to learn and flourish is a collaborative effort and we appreciate all who have contributed.
